Selling the Invisible Advantage of Minimally Invasive Techniques
"Closed method" means nothing to a patient. To sell the advantage, you first have to make it visible.
In short: what do I need to know?
"Closed method" means nothing to a patient. To sell the advantage, you first have to make it visible.
The Invisibility Paradox
The commercial paradox of minimally invasive techniques is this: their greatest advantages — small incision, fast recovery, little pain — also make them invisible.
In open surgery a patient can at least imagine what is done; but they cannot picture a procedure performed through a 4-millimetre opening. That invisibility produces doubt, not trust: "Can it really be done through such a small hole?"
Showing the Inside
A minimally invasive procedure animation removes this doubt by showing how precise and comprehensive the work of the closed method is on the inside.
When the camera is carried inside the body, viewers follow the advance of the endoscope, the catheter's journey through a vessel and the precision with which a needle reaches the target tissue with their own eyes.
Show the same scene next to the open method and the advantage becomes undeniable: two incision sizes, two recovery timelines, two lengths of hospital stay side by side.
Areas of Application
- Gastroenterology and endoscopic interventions
- Cardiology and interventional radiology
- Injection and block procedures in pain treatment
- Closed procedures in urology and gynecology
- Arthroscopy in orthopedics
For Device Manufacturers
The same animations are core material for physician training and field sales. By modeling your endoscope, catheter or injector system exactly, the video shown to the patient can match the procedure performed in the clinic perfectly.
Proof of Technology for the International Patient
This format is the most concrete document proving your clinic's level of technology: instead of trying to describe the currency of your equipment and technique through an interpreter, you show it in a single video.
